However if there have been changes the Static reports will differ from the dynamic ones. In this example Revenue Report and Sales Report will still show the same number, but Period report will differ. The difference between the reports can be found in Sales Report section “Sold in the date period, paid other period” if you click “Show/Hide details”.
For each date you will see all changes that affecting another date.
Example:
A reservation with stay date 2016-02-28 is cancelled on 2016-02-29.
In period report:
Search for stay date the 2016-02-28 on the 2016-02-29 (after the cancellation)
You will get 1 cancelled reservation
In sales report:
Search for date the 2016-02-28 on the 2016-02-29 (after the cancellation)
You will get 1 confirmed reservation
Search for date the 2016-02-29 on the 2016-02-29 (after the cancellation)
In details section: you can see that there is 1 cancelled reservation and 1 removed confirmed reservation on the 2016-02-28
Comparison
Total revenue in Period report is the same as Total housing in Sales Report-All changes of housing made on this day that affect some other day + All changes made on another day that affect this day.
In Sales Report this corresponds to:
Search on current date: sum all Housing rows in section "Sold and paid in the date period" and "Sold in date period, stay other period"
Subtract sum of Housing rows in details of section "Sold in date period, stay other period".
Search on date interval before current date: sum Housing rows with current date in details of section "Sold in date period, stay other period and add this to total. (This is a rare case it will only happen if you make a reservation between 00.00 and 03.00)
Search on date interval after current date: sum Housing rows with current date in details of section "Sold in date period, stay other period and add this to total.
