Clean a room

1. Go to 'Housekeeping>Room Status' you will see a list of all rooms and their housekeeping status. The possible statuses are Vacant, Occupied and Check out and Clean, Dirty or Out of order

'Check out' status will check out today, when the guest have actaully checked out the status switches to 'Vacant'.


2. To clean a room find it in the list and switch the toogle in the Status box.

You can mark a room as dirty by using the toogle again.
You can sort the list by clicking the headers, e.g. if you click 'Unit' the list will be sorted by room number.
If there is an alert tied to the room on this day the bell icon will be red. You can click the bell to view the Alert.


Other options in Room Status list

To change cleaning schedule for a specific room click the 'cog wheel' icon before the room number, that will open a side panel to the left on the screen.


You will see the options:

Disable cleaning: if this is checked the room will never be marked as dirty.

Disable cleaning tasks: for hotel that use Advanced housekeeping, if this is checked there will be no tasks generated for this room.

Use custom cleaning schedule: if you want to configure weekly, biweekly or a set number of days in between cleanings.

Do not clean on dates: if you want to exclude some specific dates from cleaning. You can click 'Tomorrow' to block cleaning tomorrow.


Click 'Apply' to apply the setting.

It is possible to add an additonal cleaning status 'Pending inspection' to the rooms, read more here.


In the top right corner you have the following icons:

'Filter icon' see options below.

'Print icon' will print the list.

'Display settings' see options below.

'Options menu' here you can export list to excel.


Display settings

'Print with alerts' You can select to print the list with all alert-texts on the list.

'Show extras' This option will add two columns to the page 'Extras' and 'Next extras'. 'Extras' column will show all extras of 'Housekeeping' type added to the reservation that is currently checked in or checked out previously. 'Next extras' will show all extras of 'Housekeeping' type that is added to the reservation that will check in next.

'Show Guest Details' this option checked will show both number of arriving guests and number of departing guests.


Click 'Apply' so apply your changes to the list.

Filter

You can filter the list by:

Floor

Category

Status of the room

Unit type

If a room have alerts or not

Check in date or check out date

'Match either check-in or check-out' if this is selected the list will contain all reservations that have either the check-in specified or check out date specified. If it is not checked the list will contain only reservations that match both criteria.


Click 'Apply' to apply your changes.
