B2Brouter Integration — Customer Guide

Last updated: October 2026

Overview

The B2Brouter integration lets you send e-invoices straight from Nitesoft to your customers through established e-invoicing networks, including the Peppol Network.

You can send e-invoices to companies, travel agencies, public sector bodies and individual guests, and B2Brouter makes sure each invoice meets the e-invoicing rules in the recipient's country.

Quick Setup Guide — Swedish Companies (Peppol)

For most Swedish companies on the Peppol network, you only need to fill in a few fields on the recipient's profile:

FieldWhat to enterExample
TIN Scheme9955 - Momsnr9955 - Momsnr
TIN ValueSE + org number (no dash) + 01SE556611379001
CIN Scheme0007 - Organisationsnummer0007 - Organisationsnummer
CIN ValueOrg number (no dash)5566113790
PIN Scheme0007 - Organisationsnummer0007 - Organisationsnummer
PIN ValueOrg number (no dash)5566113790
Transport TypeLeave blank—
Document TypeLeave blank—
Routing CodesLeave blank (unless the recipient asks for it)—

Sending to recipients outside Sweden? Peppol is the default, but some countries use their own network. In Finland, for example, many companies receive e-invoices through TIEKE (Finvoice). If that applies, set the Transport Type on the recipient's profile.

Sending an E-Invoice

Once the recipient's profile is set up, sending an e-invoice takes three steps:

  1. Open the invoice in Nitesoft
  2. Click the Action List icon (⋯) in the toolbar
  3. Select Export → B2Brouter

If everything checks out, the invoice is delivered to the recipient via Peppol. You can follow the status directly on the invoice: B2Brouter reports back when it has been received, accepted or paid.

If something is wrong with the setup, you'll see an error message in a popup right away. To check errors on earlier exports, click the Integration icon (marked with !) in the toolbar.

If Something Goes Wrong

Most delivery problems come down to a few common causes:

  • The recipient can't be found. The company may not be registered on Peppol, or the PIN value doesn't match their Peppol ID. You can look up a company in the Peppol Directory to check.
  • Wrong VAT number. Check that the TIN Value follows the format SE + org number + 01, with no dashes or spaces.
  • Missing reference. Many recipients, especially in the public sector, require a reference to route the invoice internally. Ask them for it and add it as the Invoice Reference (sent as Buyer Reference) or Purchase Order Reference.
  • The invoice was rejected. The recipient's system has turned the invoice down, usually because of a missing or incorrect reference. Correct the invoice details and send it again.

Setting Up Profiles

When the integration is turned on, a B2Brouter / E-Invoicing section appears on all profile types: Company, Travel Agency and Individual. An e-invoice can only be sent to a profile that has this section filled in.

Identification Fields

Each identifier has two parts: a scheme (what kind of number it is) and a value (the number itself).

Tax Identification Number (TIN) is the recipient's VAT number. It's required to send an e-invoice.

  • TIN Scheme: The type of VAT number, which depends on the country. In Sweden it's 9955 - Momsnr.
  • TIN Value: The VAT number itself.

Company Identification Number (CIN) is the recipient's company registration number.

  • CIN Scheme: The national registration scheme. In Sweden it's 0007 - Organisationsnummer.
  • CIN Value: The registration number itself.

Participant Identification Number (PIN) is the recipient's address on the e-invoicing network. It's what tells the network where to deliver the invoice.

  • PIN Scheme: The type of participant ID.
  • PIN Value: The participant ID itself.

Routing Codes are optional. Use them only when a recipient asks for an extra code so their system can send the invoice on to a specific department or business unit. Each code is entered as a scheme and a value, just like the fields above.

Delivery Settings

Transport Type is the network the invoice is sent through. The default is the Peppol Network, so you can leave this blank unless the recipient uses another network.

Document Type is the e-invoice format (e.g. Peppol BIS Billing 3.0). B2Brouter picks the right format automatically, so leave this blank unless the recipient or local rules require something specific.

Which Profile Is Used?

When an invoice is linked to more than one profile, Nitesoft picks whose e-invoicing settings to use in this order:

Company → Travel Agency → Individual

  • Company: If a Company profile is the payer on the invoice, its settings are always used.
  • Travel Agency: Used if there is no Company profile.
  • Individual: Used if there is neither a Company nor a Travel Agency profile.

Example: If an invoice has both a Company profile and an Individual profile, Nitesoft uses the Company profile's TIN, CIN, PIN and routing codes.

Invoice Settings

You create invoices as usual in Nitesoft. When the integration is on, a B2Brouter section is added under Payment Settings on the invoice. Use it when a customer asks for extra details on their e-invoice:

FieldWhat it's for
Purchase Order ReferenceThe customer's order or approval number for the purchase.
Contract ReferenceThe number of the agreement or contract the invoice is based on.
Customer Accounting ReferenceA code the customer uses to book the invoice in their accounting system.
Remittance InformationYour payment reference, so you can match the incoming payment to the invoice.
Explicit Full InvoiceTick this if the guest asked for a full invoice, even when a simplified invoice would normally be enough.
Payment MethodHow the invoice is expected to be paid, chosen from B2Brouter's list.
Payment Method DescriptionA free-text description, used when Payment Method is set to Other.
