There are 2 types of reports in Nitesoft; static and dynamic reports.

The dynamic reports always show current state in the system, you typically search on stay date and/or booking date.

The static report shows the state the system had at the date you are currently looking at.

You typically search on the date something occured.

This means that after a date has past a static report will always give the same result for this date.

While dynamic reports can change after a stay date has occured in case there are changes made to reservations on this date.

Example:

A reservation with stay date 2016-02-28 is cancelled on 2016-02-29.

For a dynamic report:

On the 2016-02-28 you search for stay date the 2016-02-28

You will get 1 confirmed reservation

On the 2016-02-29 you search for stay date the 2016-02-28

You will get 1 cancelled reservation

So the data for 2016-02-28 has changed

For a static report:

On the 2016-02-28 you search for what happened on the 2016-02-28

You will get 1 confirmed reservation

On the 2016-02-29 you search for what happened on the 2016-02-28

You will get 1 confirmed reservation

On the 2016-02-29 you search for for what happened on the 2016-02-29

You will get 1 cancelled reservation and 1 confirmed reservation that is removed

So the data for 2016-02-28 has not changed, instead the change for 2016-02-28 is registered on the date of the change.
